Sunrise at the Vertical Farm Pilot

The first commercial harvest from our vertical farming pilot came in just before dawn. Stacked growing towers, tuned light recipes, and closed-loop water systems delivered yields that exceeded every projection.
Investors who had backed the concept years earlier finally stood among the towers they had only seen in renderings.
The towers had been running for weeks, but there is a particular quiet to that first real harvest - the moment a projection on a spreadsheet becomes crates of fresh produce you can hold. The yields came in above target, and the closed-loop water system had performed exactly as modeled.
For the investors, many of whom had backed the idea when it was little more than renderings and conviction, walking the aisles between the glowing towers was its own kind of vindication. Several stayed long after sunrise, simply taking it in.
The pilot has since become a proving ground for new light recipes and crop varieties, each refinement feeding directly into the next generation of commercial designs.
“We watched an idea become a forest of green, floor to ceiling.”- Pilot Programme Lead
